The following chess instructors are currently serving the educational programs of HollandChess.com. Background checks are completed on all adult coaches who have regular interaction with our students. In addition, no chess coach is allowed to be alone with any student for any reason.

Derrick Baker, HollandChess.com Lead Coach 101/102 Sections
Derrick Baker is the founding coach of the Holland Chess Club; he started the club with David and Tamara Posthuma in October of 2005. Derrick oversees our 101/102 elementary student program. Derrick's passions are chess, hunting, and politics. Derrick serves at Applied Industrial Technologies as a Service Center Manager. |

Dr. Tony Palmer, HollandChess.com Lead Coach 201/202 Sections
Dr. Tony Palmer is a highly esteemed Chess Expert and instructional coach. His students are among the highest rated chess players in the State of Michigan! Dr. Tony Palmer oversees our 201/202 Middle-School/High-School program. He is also on the Board of Directors for WestMichiganChess.com. Dr. Tony Plamer not only specializes in chess, but he is also a Doctor of Internal Medicine. |

Andy Catlin, HollandChess.com Assistant Coach
Andy Catlin is a highly experienced Chess Expert and Chess Instructor. He is a coach of the Spring Lake, Michigan program, and also assists HollandChess.com. Andy also oversees WestMichgianChess.com, a partner and valuable website resource for our students. Andy serves as Business inteligence for Metrics Reporting in Grand Haven, MI. |

Mark Servinski, HollandChess.com Assistant Coach
Mark Servinski has been playing chess most his life. Mark plays a support role for our various educational programs. Mark is President of Servinski Engineering in Holland. |

Andrew Schremser, HollandChess.com Student Coach
Andrew Schremser is one of our student coaches who support the elementary section. Andrew is a skillful and knowledgable chess player. Andrew actively competes in regional and Michigan chess tournaments. Andrew is in 11th grade. His current USCF rating is in the 1200's. |

Joshua Posthuma is one of our student coaches who support the elementary section. Joshua is a skillful and knowledgable chess player. Joshua actively competes in regional and Michigan chess tournaments. His current USCF rating is in the 1600's. Joshua is currently in 6th grade. |
